The time of year we look forward to fresh local fruit to hold onto summer as long as possible. Coal Harbour Brewing did that but it all started 2 years ago with their mixed fermantation sour. Orchard is a Barrel Aged Wild Ale with pear(5.2%), aged 2 years in Okanagan red wine barrels. Fresh local Pears and Brett were added the first year, then once kegged pear juice was added. Not your usual sour, little more layered and your taste buds will like it. Enjoy now or wait till the fall to pop the top to have a taste of summer. Cheers!
