For many it is a day to eat Mexican food and drink cerveza’s not knowing why its a holiday. So why not raise a vaso of some good tequila in honour of Mexico’s 1862 victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla. Here is just a selection of some of those good tequila’s that we carry

-Cazadores – Tequila Anejo 40% Aged(anejo)one year in American Oak barrels. It is smooth with notes of cinnamon, pepper, caramel and citrus, try sipping this one neat

-Rooster Rojo – Reposado 40% Aged less than 2 months in French Oak barrels. it is silky warm with notes of vanilla, caramel and cooked agave. Try in a drink with Strawberry Syrup and Cranberry Juice

-Arette – Blanco 40% the lightest of tequilas,Blanco or white. Strong and pure,one you would sip

-Alipus Mezcal – San Luis del Rio 47.5% unaged and made with 100% Espadin Agave, fermented in Pine vats. Full bodied with citrus fruit flavour and peppers of several varieties and aromas of fish sauce.
