1884 Cabernet Franc

Something new from a fairly familiar winery out of Mendoza, Argentina. What some people consider the lesser Bordeaux grapes seem to do very well here. Cabernet Franc is a great example. All the grapes are handpicked for added quality control on high altitude vineyards at the foot of the Andes Mountains. The result is a deep, almost black colored wine. Aromas of dry leaves and hints of tobacco, prune and black pepper set you up for a soft and round wine with consistent tannins and a long finish.
