Happy Birthday to Powell Brewery! It’s hard to believe it has been 4 years already. To celebrate the occasion, they have released a barley wine. Not just any barley wine though, this one has spent 18 months in French oak with two different strains of Brettanomyces. It is a funky one, in a good way! Notes of dried dark fruits abound, along with umami overtones and a sherry like finish.
