Dageraad Brewing – Sweet & Tart

Brewers find inspiration from so many places. Kala is Dageraads Brewing’s latest release. It’s a Amber ale with Calamansi, squeezing in at 6.5%. Inspired by a drink in the Philippines, fresh squeezed calamansi into rum over ice. The result is a tart amber ale with calamansi juice. The sweet from the turbinado sugar that fermented away leaving a sweetness and molasses character. As much as I want to try this beer now I also want to try some fresh calamansi juice over rum.
