Here’s a bit of a history lesson for you. This beer is based upon the infamous Burton ale. A predecessor of the IPA so to speak. Originally made in Burton-on-Trent in the heartland of Brittain. Here they were known to brew with hard water and that made for excellent brews that retained more of their hoppy “zing” so to speak. At its peak they were exporting this beer all over the world! Vancouver Island Brewing and Gladstone Brewing teamed up to recreate this historical beverage. Take a sip back in time and enjoy.
