Remembering where you buried your treasure isn’t easy when you’re a pirate, especially if you’ve been dipping into the reserve rum barrels. Driftwood Brewing’s newest release Corsair’s Curse could be the treasure you’ve been looking for. A rum barrel wheat ale (9.1%) that spent a few weeks aging in used Barbados Rum barrels. After which it was heavily dosed with Sabro hops, then soured with lactobacillus. Resulting in a brew to be treasured, notes of coconut, pineapple and vanilla as well as some oak and rum flavours thanks to the barrels. Cheers!
